HOW YOU TALK ABOUT & USE BOOKS IN YOUR CLASS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR IN A STUDENT'S PERCEPTION ABOUT THEIR TEXTBOOKS.

Textbooks are expensive, & students are savvy shoppers! Help us communicate to the students about the importance of your textbook BEFORE they get to your classes:

LET US KNOW:

* if you test out of the book

* if the book is for a “review only”

* if students can use an old edition of the book

* if the book is suggested or alternate assignment

WE NEED YOUR TEXT LISTS EARLY BECAUSE IT HELPS US:

* “buy back” textbooks from the students - students like the cash & return privileges

* research availability from used book wholesalers - students enjoy the lower prices

* research new editions or out-of-print status - you have the most up-to-date info OR if out of print, you have time to find an alternate text

* place orders for extended dating or free freight - CCU saves money

* relay the information to the CCU library - students appreciate the option to use items on the reserve shelf
