Who would have thought the skinny lad from Appalachia would grow into an international figure? Educator, missionary, physician, writer, school administrator--anyone describing Dr. David Grubbs can select from a variety of words. For me, however, one word stands out: integrity. Whether in a mud hut in sweltering Africa or the air conditioned office as President of Cincinnati Bible College and Seminary (now Cincinnati Christian University), David Grubbs is the same person. Here is a man who risked his life to follow Christ; who has lowered barriers between people groups, who rose from a limited background to the highest halls of education, who has walked among the great and the small, who has reached out to others but never to gather for himself.
